What's down there

India's only open-water coral reef.

Netrani Island sits alone in the Arabian Sea, its shores dropping into a reef system unlike anywhere else on India's coastline. Visibility regularly clears past 10 metres in season.

  • Coral gardens in 8–12m of water, calm enough for first-time divers
  • Reef fish, moray eels, and — with luck — reef sharks and rays
  • Water temperature 26–29°C year-round in season, no wetsuit required

Diver at Netrani Island

2,000+ divers taken down

First-timers and old hands, both.

Every dive is one-to-one with a PADI or SSI instructor — swim skills not required, no prior certification needed. Most of the divers on the boat with you have never touched a regulator before, and they surface grinning.

Before you book

Common questions.

Do I need to know how to swim?

No. Every dive is one-to-one with a PADI/SSI instructor who manages your buoyancy and air — non-swimmers dive regularly.

Is there a minimum age?

Divers must be 10 years or older. There's no upper age limit provided you clear the basic health declaration.

What health conditions rule it out?

Serious heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, and pregnancy are the main restrictions — flag any condition when booking and we'll confirm.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a change of clothes, a towel, sunscreen, and any motion-sickness medication for the boat ride. Gear is provided.
